George R. Kingsley
Attorney George R. Kingsley has been practicing law in the state of California since 1965 and has served as lead counsel in over 100 jury trials and arbitrations, obtaining several million-dollar verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. George practices primarily personal injury and insurance bad faith law for Kingsley & Kingsley, including all types of insurance claims involving disability, health, and homeowner's policies.
In the area of insurance bad faith, George concentrates his practice on long-term disability (LTD) claims, handling both individual claims as well as group claims under ERISA. These cases are highly complex and typically find their way to federal court. Regarding homeowner's policies, in the aftermath of the Northridge earthquake, he was successful in obtaining large confidential settlements from several major insurers in the State.
Mr. Kingsley has achieved a great deal of success for his clients in the personal injury field, including numerous high-dollar settlements and verdicts. Over his career he has dealt with many exotic issues, including a rat infestation case involving a rare disease known as leptospirosis. This case went to trial with the result being $1,535,000 for the plaintiff. He is currently litigating a class action health insurance claim against Anthem Blue Cross for their decision to not provide coverage for the Pro Disc L.
